Physiological Ecology of Herpetofauna

I am interested in physiology of organisms and how it directs or affects their response to environmental change. I research stress ecology- including how physiological constraints or adaptations can influence the success of vertebrates introduced into new or changing environments.  I strive to integrate physiology into informed management of invasive species. I am also interested in the physiology of disease processes in ectotherms, in particular the importance of thermal environments on the ability to combat infection.
