Physiological Ecology in a Changing World

I am interested in physiology of organisms and how it directs or affects their response to environmental change, and how this scales up to influence biodiversity patterns. I strive to integrate stress ecology- how physiological and behavioral constraints or adaptations can influence the success of vertebrates introduced into new or changing environments- into informed management decisions for imperiled and invasive species. I am also interested in the physiology of disease processes in ectotherms, in particular the importance of thermal environments on the ability to combat infection.
